Join us on Thursday, July 20th for a free concert. The acapella group “Full Throttle” will entertain us at 7:00 pm. Come relax in air conditioning and listen to good music and enjoy some fellowship too.
Tickets are FREE but must be reserved in advance.Holy Cross will have a reserved section in this huge arena, so all church members (and friends!) interested in attending will be able to sit together. Please sign up on the Music Ministry board in the hallway BY JULY 31 if you would like to attend and sit in the Holy Cross section. Call the church office with questions. (Yes! We will discuss car-pooling!)
Join us this year as we learn about Jesus and that through Him the victory is won! Ages 3 – 103 are welcome, Holy Cross members, friends, and visitors!
This year we are introducing an all-inclusive VBS, with special lessons, songs, and activities for the older ‘children’ (adults)! Come and see all sorts of fun facts about Martin Luther, and what led him to start the Reformation, in a special five-night presentation called “Truth Be Told.” What a fun and interesting way to spend a week in this 500th anniversary year of the Reformation!
At “Mighty Fortress”, we will hear how God is our refuge and strength. Friends and even family may fail us, we may not always be the best or the most popular, we may even fail ourselves at times, but God promises to be our rock and our salvation – our fortress and sure defense! So raise your banner! In Jesus, the victory is won!
Stories that share the mighty and true Word of God invite group participation to help make them memorable, engaging, active, and fun!
High-energy, simple, repeatable tunes deliver the rock-solid message of God’s victory in Christ, and will help ‘stick’ the Bible truths in your heart and mind.
Unique Festival Crafts emphasize Bible truths, and Tournament Games is a fortress full of energy, excitement, and a little bit of silliness! Picture catapults, stilts, and even a castle moat…
Call the church (586-751-2550) to register.
Plan on joining us we will begin with an outside worship service at 10:00 am, followed by our annual church picnic. There will be plenty of GOOD food to eat and drink, fun games to play, and Christian fellowship. We will also have our annual pie auction; great pies to be had for a donation to our food pantry. Help us to continue to fund the Food Pantry, and get a great pie too! How can you go wrong? All this will take place on Sunday, July 30th.
We need a lot of assistance to make this event a success. Because of it being held at the church there is more work involved with the setup and cleanup. If you are able to help in any way possible, sign up in the narthex or contact John Pepperman. Many hands make light work. Prayerfully consider volunteering even if it is just for an hour or two.
